Copra edible and copra Rajapur prices dropped at the spices market here today due to sluggish demand from stockists amidst steady supply from growing regions.
Meanwhile, copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode rose on good retail buying as well as higher demand from millers.
Copra edible Mumbai slumped by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 7,300 from Monday's closing level of Rs 7,600 and copra Rajapur Mumbai declined by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 8,300 as against Rs 8,500 in the previous session.
However, copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both spurted by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,200 and Rs 6,100 from overnight closing level of Rs 6,100 and Rs 6,000.
Rest of the spices closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support.
