Copra Alapuzha, copra Kozhikode and copra edible prices firmed up at the spices market here today due to pick up in demand from stockists and retailers ahead of the ensuing festive season.
Meanwhile, ginger unbleached declined on reduced export and domestic demand. Other spices ruled steady.
Copra office Alapuzha, copra office Kozhikode and copra edible Mumbai, all rose by Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 3,950, Rs 3,825 and Rs 4,900 respectively, from last weekend's closing level of Rs 3,900, Rs 3,775 and Rs 4,850.
However, ginger unbleached fell by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 250 as against Rs 260 of last Saturday.
