Select copra rises on better demand

Copra Rajapur and copra edible prices rose at the spices market here today on brisk buying from stockists and retailers amidst increased export offtake.

On the other hand, black pepper witnessed a mixed pattern of trading owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.  

Copra Rajapur Mumbai spurted by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,100 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 9,000 and copra edible Mumbai moved up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 7,850 as compared to Rs 7,800 previously. 

However, black pepper was quoted at Rs 295/320 per kilo as against Rs 298/318 last weekend.

Black pepper (per kg) 295/320 (298/318), ginger bleached (per kg) 175 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 205 (205), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,000 (7,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,850 (6,850)

copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,100 (9,000) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,850 (7,800)
