Select copra slips on sluggish demand

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices fell at the spices market here today on reduced buying by stockists and retailers coupled with lower offtake from millers.

Meanwhile, copra Rajapur rose further owing to steady demand from domestic as well as export market.  

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both dropped by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,100 and Rs 6,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs 6,200 and Rs 6,100.

However, copra Rajapur Mumbai strengthened by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,000 as against Rs 7,900 yesterday. 

Other spices closed at their overnight levels in the absence of necessary buying support.
