Select dry fruits decline on sluggish demand

Select dry fruit prices led by almond and kishmish fell on the wholesale dry fruits market today, due to slackness in demand against adequate stocks.

Traders said subdued demand at prevailing higher levels against adequate supply mainly pulled down select dry fruits prices.

In the national capital, almond (California) fell by Rs 300 to Rs 10,000 per 40 kg. Almond kernel (california) followed suit and declined byRs 11 to Rs 350-355 per kg. 

Almond gurbandi declined by Rs 50 to Rs 4,900-5,100 per 40 kg.

Kishmish indian green also plunged by Rs 500 to Rs 5,500-7,500 per 40 kg, while chilgoza lost Rs 50 to Rs 1,600-1,700 per kg.
