Select edible oil prices drifted up to Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on weakening global trend.
Traders said besides weakening global trend, fall in demand at prevailing higher levels mainly pulled down the select wholesale edible oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil futures for the May delivery contract shed 0.6 per cent to $1,223 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and palmolein (rbd) oils fell by Rs 30 and Rs 50 to Rs 6,500 and Rs 6,200 per quintal, respectively on lower global trend.
Mustard expeller oil (Dadri) also lacked necessary buying support and lost Rs 30 to Rs 6,000 per quintal.
