Prices of select edible oils rose up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale market here today on firm demand from vanaspati millers and local parties. Neem oil in the non-edible secion also found scattered buying support from soap industries and improved.
Marketmen said pick up in demand from vanaspati millers and local parties following ongoing marriage season mainly pushed up select wholesale edible oil prices. In the edible section, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) gained the most by rising Rs 30 to Rs 4,700 per quintal.
Crude palm oil (ex-kandla) and palmolein (rbd)also went up by Rs 20 each to Rs 3,770 and Rs 4,250 per quintal. Among non-edible, neem oil edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 3,650-3,750 per quintal on increased offtake from soap industries.
