Prices of select pulses, masoor and malka, drifted up to Rs 200 per quintal in wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels against adequate stocks.
Traders said adequate stocks following increased arrivals from producing belts amid fall in demand at prevailing higher levels pulled down the select wholesale pulses prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold prices declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,900-3,100 and Rs 3,100-3,350, while its dal local and best quality dipped by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,600-3,700 and Rs 3,850-4,150 per quintal.
Malka local and best were also traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,600-3,650, Rs 3,750-3,850 and moth lost Rs 200 to Rs 3,700-4,000 per quintal.
