Select pulses remain weak on subdued demand

Select pulses declined further by up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today owing to subdued demand at higher levels against adequate stocks.

Traders said sufficient stocks against sluggish demand mainly led to the fall in select wholesale pulses prices.

In the national capital, urad dal remained weak and lost Rs 200 to Rs 3,900-4,400, while its dal chilka local and best quality declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,800-5,200 and Rs 5,300-5,800 per quintal, respectively. 

Arhar and its dal data variety also weakened by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,750-3,850 and Rs 5,100-5,500 per quintal, respectively.

Urad 3,900-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4800-5,200, best 5,300-5,800, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 4,500-4,700, Dal moong chilka local 5,400-5,800, Moong Dhoya local 5,700-5,900 and best quality 6,300-6,500
