Select pulses up on increased demand, tight supply

The wholesale pulses market ended on a better note today as select prices firmed by up to Rs 200 per quintal on increased demand against less arrivals from producing region.

Traders said increased demand against less arrivals mainly led to rise in select wholesale pulses prices. In the national capital, gram, gram dal local, and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,000-3025, Rs 3,450-3,550 and Rs 3,650-3,750 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small edged up to Rs 2,600-2,900, while masoor dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,350-3,450 and Rs 3,550-3,850 per quintal, respectively.

Moth moved up by Rs 200 to Rs 2,200-2,600 per quintal.

Urad 3,800-4,200, Urad chilka (local) 4,580-4,980, best 5,200-5,700, Dhoya 5,050-5,150, Moong 3,950-4,950, Dal moong chilka local 4,970-5,370, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,900-6,100
