Urad and masoor prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on pick up in retailers demand against tight supplies.
Traders said pick up in retailers demand against restricted arrivals, mainly pushed up select wholesale pulses prices.
Firming trend at producing regions further fuelled the uptrend, they said.
In the national capital, urad and urad dal chilka local rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,800-4,350 and Rs 4600-5,000, while best quality and dhoya traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,100-5,400 and Rs 5,300-5,400 per quintal.
Masoor mall and bold prices also gained Rs 200 each to Rs 3,100-3,300 and Rs 3,250-3,500. Its local and best quality edged up by the similar margin to Rs 3,850-3,950 and Rs 4,100-4,400 per quintal.
Malka local and best too traded in positive zone with a gain of Rs 200 each to Rs 3,800-3,850 and Rs 3,950-4,050 per quintal.
