Select pulses prices rose by up to Rs 300 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on increased buying by stockists.
Traders said increased buying by stockists on rising demand amid slow down in arrivals mainly pushed up select wholesale pulses prices.
In the national capital, arhar rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3,400-3,900 per quintal and its dal dara variety gained Rs 150 to Rs 5,000-5,400 per quintal.
Rajmah chitra Pune, China and red varieties were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,500-3,900, Rs 3,600-4,100 and Rs 3,850-3,950 per quintal, respectively.
In line with firming trend, kabli gram small variety shot up by Rs 300 to Rs 5,000-6,500 per quintal. Gram too traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2,275-2,300 and its dal local and best quality gained by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,600-2,615 and Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal, respectively.
