Select spices drop on stockists selling, poor demand

Copra Kozhikode prices continued to slid at the spices market here today due to sustained selling by stockists and traders amidst subdued milling demand.

Elsewhere, copra edible, ginger bleached and unbleached also declined owing to lack of retail buying coupled with sluggish exports.

Copra office Kozhikode lost another Rs 150 per quintal to finish at Rs 6,200 from its overnight closing level of Rs 6,350 and copra edible Mumbai fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,600 from Rs 7,700 previously. 

Ginger bleached and unbleached also moved down by Rs 5 per kilo each to Rs 150 and Rs 180 respectively, from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 155 and Rs 185.  

While, rest of all other spcies closed stable in the absence of market-moving factors.
