The Sensex recovered all its losses, and rebounded into the positive zone on the back of a fresh wave of buying. The index is now down 90 at 10,080.
Tata Motors has slumped 10.5% to Rs 204, and Tata Steel has plunged 9.5% to Rs 222. Hindalco has shed 7.7% at Rs 56, and Sterlite has dropped 6.5% to Rs 248.
Maruti has tumbled 5.5% to Rs 613. Ranbaxy has slipped 4.7% to Rs 246.
Bharti Airtel has declined over 4% to Rs 640. HDFC has shed 3.7% at Rs 1,835, and Reliance is down 2.6% at Rs 1,281.
TCS and BHEL have surged 6% each to Rs 579 and Rs 1,206, respectively. Wipro has soared 5.5% to Rs 295.
Grasim has gained 4.7% at Rs 1,215. Infosys and Tata Power have rallied over 3.5% each to Rs 1,349 and Rs 780, respectively.

ICICI Bank, ITC, Reliance Communications, Larsen & Toubro and NTPC are up around 2% each at Rs 405, Rs 175, Rs 240, Rs 836 and Rs 147, respectively.
Out of 2,442 stocks traded so far, 1,726 have declined, 644 have advanced and 72 are unchanged.
