A steady rally, which started in late morning trades, has picked up further in the afternoon trades as buying continues in tech, select heavyweights and other old economy counters. The Sensex, which touched a high of 6,604, is now up 38 points at 6,603. The Nifty has advanced 14 points to 2,043.Infosys has flared up 1.58% (Rs 34) to Rs 2,191. While Satyam is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 456, Wipro is up with a steady gain of Rs 2 at Rs 684.ONGC has gained 1.15% (Rs 10) to Rs 882. While ITC (up Rs 5 to Rs 1,506) is unchanged with steady gains, Reliance is up a notch at Rs 531.Ranbaxy is trading firm with a surge of 3.35% (Rs 34) at Rs 1,036. Dr. Reddy's has added 1.90% (Rs 13) to Rs 704, and Cipla is up 1.24% at Rs 282.While HDFC Bank has slipped a per cent (Rs 5) to Rs 540, ICICI Bank is trading on a sluggish note at Rs 397 - down Rs 2.Hero Honda has added 1.65% (Rs 9) to Rs 578, while Maruti is up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 462.Zee, however, has tumbled 2.84% (Rs 4) to Rs 140.
