The Sensex opened 19 points higher over its last close at 7,749, and soared to a high of 7,795 on strong buying support in most of the old and new economy counters. It is now up 60 points at 7,790, while the Nifty has added 14 points to 2,374.ICICI Bank has advanced 2.19% (Rs 11) to Rs 504, while HDFC Bank has added 1.54% (Rs 10) to Rs 670. SBI is up with steady gains at Rs 812.Reliance has commenced with a per cent gain (Rs 7) to Rs 726, while ONGC is up Rs 5 at Rs 961.Tata Motors has jumped nearly 2% (Rs 10) to Rs 491. Bajaj and Maruti are up a per cent each at Rs 1,424 (up Rs 12) and Rs 484 (up Rs 4), respectively.Infosys has slipped in early deals to Rs 2,308 - down Rs 7. TCS and Wipro are up a per cent each at Rs 1,322 (up Rs 9) and Rs 731 (up Rs 4), respectively.L&T has gained 1.21% (Rs 16) to Rs 1,336.
