The Sensex touched an intra-day high of 9400, and is now up 73 points at 9397. The Nifty has jumped by 15 points to 2837.Among Sensex stocks, Grasim has spurted 3% to Rs 1,397. Hindalco and Dr.Reddy's are up 2.3% each at Rs 143 and Rs 972, respectively. Reliance Energy at Rs 611, HLL at Rs 199, BHEL at Rs 1,395, NTPC at Rs 112, ITC at Rs 142, Tata Steel at Rs 375, ICICI Bank at Rs 582, SBI at Rs 903, Larsen & Toubro at Rs 1,819, Tata Power at Rs 437, Bajaj Auto at Rs 2,020 and Gujarat Ambuja at Rs 79.60 are up 1-2% each.On the other hand ONGC at Rs 1,178 and HDFC at Rs 1,206 are down 1% each. Tata Motors is the only other notabke loser. The overall market breadth is extremely positive with more than five advancing stocks for every two declining shares. Out of a total of 2,400 stocks traded on the BSE, so far, 1,687 shares have advanced while 634 stocks have declined and the rest are unchanged.
