The Sensex is currently at 11,324 ,down five points. The index opened at 11,237, down 92 points. After that it rebounded and entered into the positive zone touching a high of 11,492. However, the index slipped into the negative zone on account of profit booking and is now flat.
The market breadth has turned negative. Out of 2,402 shares traded, 1,233 have declined and 1,091 have advanced so far.
ICICI Bank has gained over 4.5% to Rs 453. Sterlite and TCS have advanced over 3% each at Rs 410 and Rs 601, respectively.
Sun Pharma has added 3% to Rs 1,230 and Mahindra & Mahindra is up 1.5% at Rs 482.
HDFC, BHEL and Wipro have increased over 1% each at Rs 1,125, Rs 1,661 and Rs 316, respectively.
Ranbaxy on the other hand has slipped over 5% to Rs 167. Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communications are down 3% to Rs 716. Tata Power has declined around 2.5% to Rs 863.
