Sensex back in red; Satyam slips 3%

The Sensex has erased all its gains and slipped back into the negative zone. The index is now down 18 points at 10,059. Earlier in the day, the index opened 75 points lower at 10,001, and touched a low of 9,995, then rebounded and rallied to a high of 10,186.

Mahindra & Mahindra has zoomed over 7% to Rs 330. DLF has soared nearly 4% to Rs 291.

Maruti has rallied 3.5% to Rs 555. Tata Motors has surged over 3% to Rs 179.

Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Steel, Tata Power and Hindustan Unilever have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 86, Rs 228, Rs 228, Rs 746 and Rs 263, respectively.

ONGC has plunged 3.5% to Rs 706. Satyam has tumbled over 3% to Rs 164.

HDFC has shed 2.5% at Rs 1,510. ACC has rallied over 2% to Rs 497.

TCS and ICICI Bank have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 502 and Rs 465, respectively.

Infosys and Reliance are down over 1% each at Rs 1,162 and Rs 1,344, respectively.
