The negative trend, which commenced in early trades after a positive opening, has seen the index shed more ground on further slump in most of the old and new economy stocks.The Sensex, which slipped below the 7,700-mark to a low of 7,687, is now down 64 points at 7,690. The Nifty, too, is fast losing momentum and is now weak at 2,340 - down 21 points.The market breadth, however, is firm, with 1,397 stocks advancing against 954 declining and 61 remaining unchanged on the BSE so far.Infosys is down a per cent (Rs 25) at Rs 2,266, while Satyam has lost 1.80% (Rs 9) to Rs 514. TCS and Wipro are also exhibiting weak trends at Rs 1,282 and Rs 712, respectively.Reliance has slipped by a per cent (Rs 8) to Rs 718. ITC, ONGC, HLL and Reliance Energy are also trading at lower levels.HDFC Bank is trading lower by 1.55% (Rs 10) at Rs 665, and ICICI Bank is down a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 497. SBI has declined 1.20% (Rs 10) to Rs 795.Dr. Reddy's has shed 2.30% (Rs 19) to Rs 812, while Cipla has lost 1.22% (Rs 4) to Rs 336.Tata Motors has dropped 2% (Rs 10) to Rs 493. Other auto majors are trading with a per cent loss each.BHEL has declined 1.81% (Rs 20) to Rs 1,066. L&T (down Rs 21 or 1.57% to Rs 1,313), too, has lost ground.
