The market has witnessed a sharp turnaround in current trades, after a flat opening and subsequent gains in early trades. The Sensex, however, which witnessed steady fall from higher levels since mid-morning trades, slipped into the red in afternoon trades on extended selling pressure in auto counters and select heavyweights. After touching a low of 6,823, the Sensex has rolled back into the green with a small gain of five points at 6,837. The Nifty is up three points at 2,106.ONGC has lost a per cent (Rs 7) to Rs 904, and ITC has inched lower by Rs 6 to Rs 1,570. Reliance, however, has gained 1.33% (Rs 7) to Rs 566.TCS and Wipro are up a per cent at Rs 1,287 (up Rs 11) and Rs 733 (up Rs 7). While Infosys is down Rs 6 at Rs 2,231, Satyam is flat at Rs 463.HDFC Bank is up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 583, while SBI is steady at Rs 692 - up Rs 3. ICICI Bank, however, is down a tad at Rs 413.Tata Motors has declined 1.54% (Rs 7) to Rs 429. Bajaj and Maruti are down a per cent each at Rs 1,282 (down Rs 13) and Rs 455 (down Rs 5), respectively. Hero Honda is down a rupee at Rs 554.L&T has declined 1.68% (Rs 19) to Rs 1,115.Cement and pharma counters are displaying a mixed run on the BSE.
