Sensex continues to trade lower; Satyam up 6.5%

The Sensex is now trading at 9182, 147 points lower than Friday's close.

The Nifty is now trading at 2822, 35 points lower.

There are only four gainers in the Sensex. Satyam is trading 6.35% higher at Rs 144, Ranbaxy is up 2.5% to Rs 222.30. ITC is up nearly 1% to Rs 172, and Hindalco is up 0.3% to Rs 48.70.

Tata Motors has lost further ground; it is down 6.3% to Rs 146. M&M has declined 5.35% to Rs 251, while Maruti is down 2.9% to Rs 496. Wipro has declined 4.2% to Rs 217.50 and Sterlite has lost 4.1% to Rs 239. DLF, Infosys and Reliance Infra have lost over 3% each.
