Across-the-board selling, barring select auto stocks, has pushed the index deep into the red to a current low of 6,216. The Sensex has dropped 84 points to 6,224. The Nifty has lost 23 points to 1,959.Reliance is down a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 529. While ITC is traing off-gains with a loss of Rs 2 at Rs 1,271, HLL is down a rupee at Rs 141.Infosys has slipped from higher levels, and is down 1.71% (Rs 34) at Rs 1,960. Wipro and Satyam are also trading weak at Rs 674 (down Rs 4) and Rs 372 (down Rs 2), respectively.SBI has shed 2% (Rs 12) to Rs 587. HDFC Bank at Rs 481 (down Rs 8 or 1.66%) and ICICI Bank at Rs 346 (down Rs 3) are also trading with losses.Ranbaxy has plunged 3.91% (Rs 45) to Rs 1,119. Dr. Reddy's has shed 3% (Rs 24) to Rs 770, and Cipla has tumbled nearly 4% (Rs 11) to Rs 270.ACC has slumped 2.46% (Rs 8) to Rs 337. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are down 2% each at Rs 1,248 (down Rs 25) and Rs 409 (down Rs 8), respectively.While Hindalco has crashed 3.83% (Rs 50) to Rs 1,254, L&T has slumped 3.29% (Rs 32) to Rs 940. Tisco is down 2.44% (Rs 9) at Rs 349.Bajaj has jumped 2% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,115, and Maruti is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 426. Tata Motors also is trading in the green at Rs 478 - up Rs 2. Hero Honda, however, is down a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 570.
