The Sensex is now down 128 points at 10,681.
HDFC and Reliance Communications have zoomed around 9% each to Rs 1,873 and Rs 257, respectively.
Sterlite has soared 7.7% to Rs 315. Bharti Airtel has surged 4.5% to Rs 750, and SBI has gained 4% at Rs 1,558.
ICICI Bank has moved up 3.7% to Rs 430, and Hindustan Unilever has added 3.3% to Rs 239.
Tata Steel, DLF and Satyam are up around 2.5% each to Rs 281, Rs 308 and Rs 279, respectively.
Tata Motors has slumped 10.7% to Rs 252. Hindalco has tumbled 9% to Rs 72.
TCS and Grasim have plunged 7.5% each to Rs 507 and Rs 1,395, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has shed 6% at Rs 455, and Reliance has dropped 5.6% to Rs 1,434.
Larsen & Toubro has slipped nearly 5% to Rs 850. ACC, BHEL and Infosys have declined around 3.5% each to Rs 525, Rs 1,345 and Rs 1,286, respectively.
Out of 2,553 stocks traded so far, 1,869 have declined, 634 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
