Larsen & Toubro has soared 6% to Rs 2,868. Reliance Communications has gained 5.3% to Rs 581. Cipla has surged 4.% to Rs 217.
Satyam has moved up 3.4% to Rs 532. Jaiprakash Associates has advanced 2.3% to Rs 234.
Wipro is trading at 517 - up 2.2%. Ranbaxy has added 1.7% at Rs 504. Tata Steel has inched 1.1% to Rs 913.

ONGC, BHEL and TCS are the major gainers.
Tata Motors has plunged 6.8% to Rs 592, while Ambuja Cements has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 100.
Mahindra & Mahindra has slipped 2.2% to Rs 627. Maruti has declined 1.8% to Rs 764.
SBI and ICICI Bank have declined 1.6% each to Rs 1,495 and Rs 807, respectively.
Hindalco has shed 1.5% at Rs 193, and ITC is down 1.4% to Rs 219.
HDFC Bank has dropped 1.2% to Rs 1,336, and Infosys has lost 1.1% to Rs 1,891.
