The Sensex is now down 138 points at 11,697.Earlier in the day, the Sensex slumped to a low of 11,345 - down 490 points in early trades following Sebi's order on the IPO scam. However, it recovered most of its losses and touched a high of 11,803.NTPC has surged 1.8% to Rs 132. ACC has spurted over 1% to Rs 946.Bharti Tele and HLL are the other notable gainers among the Sensex stocks.Cipla has slumped 5.6% to Rs 246. Hindalco has dropped 4% to Rs 209, and Tata Steel is down 3.5% at Rs 617.ONGC and Wipro have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 1,267 and Rs 529, respectively.Grasim, Tata Power, Tata Motors and SBI are down over 2% each. Out of 2,239 stocks traded so far, 1,496 have declined, 693 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.Reliance tops the value chart with a turnover of Rs 110.22 crore followed by debutant Tantia Constrcutions (Rs 94.77 crore), Indiabulls (Rs 53.42 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 47.58 crore) and Hindustan Zinc (Rs 44 crore).Tantia Constructions leads the volume chart with trades of around 44.88 lakh shares followed by Emkay Share (26.41 lakh), MRPL (22.68 lakh), RCF (21.61 lakh) and Indiabulls (21.51 lakh).
