The market tends to remain in negative territory after a firm opening as select heavyweights, tech, auto and other old economy stocks are still exhibiting weak trends following a decline in mid-noon trades. While the Sensex has declined 14 points to 6,451, down 14 pts at 6,451, the Nifty is down three points at 2,022.ONGC and Reliance are still down a per cent each at Rs 877 (down Rs 7) and Rs 545 (down Rs 4), respectively.Infosys and Satyam, too, are trading a per cent lower each at Rs 2,100 (down Rs 18) and Rs 406 (down Rs 4), respectively. Wipro is down a tad at Rs 644.Tisco has dropped 2.39% (Rs 9) to Rs 379. While Hindalco has shed 1.15% (Rs 15) to Rs 1,325, Reliance Energy has lost 1.56% (Rs 8) to Rs 514Hero Honda has dropped 2.16% (Rs 11) to Rs 514. Other auto stocks, too, are trading with losses.Dr. Reddy's has lost 1.26% (Rs 9) to Rs 736, and Cipla is marginally weak at Rs 249. Ranbaxy, too, is lacklustre at Rs 983 - down Rs 4.ITC, however, is up a per cent (Rs 10) at Rs 1,412, and HLL is up a rupee at Rs 134.HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank are up Rs 3 each at Rs 561 and Rs 411, respectively. SBI, however, is sluggish at Rs 644 - down Rs 3.Gujarat Ambuja is trading firm with a spurt of 5.22% (Rs 21) at Rs 427. Grasim (up Rs 6 to Rs 1,206) and ACC (up Rs 3 to Rs 366) are trading off-highs due to profit-taking.
