The Sensex is now down 231 points at 17,542. Reliance Energy has slumped 4.5% to Rs 1,383, and ACC has plunged 4% to Rs 1,129.Tata Steel and Dr.Reddy's have tumbled around 3.5% each to Rs 803 and Rs 632, respectively.Ranbaxy, NTPC, Tata Motors and Cipla have slipped around 3% each to Rs 420, Rs 208, Rs 757 and Rs 184, respectively.SBI, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank and ONGC have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 1,816, Rs 3,011, Rs 1,013 and Rs 944, respectively.ONGC, Hindalco, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti have declined around 2% each to Rs 944, Rs 166, Rs 175, Rs 767 and Rs 1,016, respectively.Satyam has rallied 2.7% to Rs 457. HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 1,429.TCS has gained 1.7% at Rs 1,088, and Wipro has added 1.3% to Rs 467.The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,528 stocks traded so far, 2,056 have declined, 426 have advanced and 46 are unchanged.
