The Sensex opened marginally lower (down 9pts) at 12,875. The index moved in a narrow range of 90-odd points (high 12,921; low 12 831) today before settling with a marginal loss of 25 points at 12,858.The BSE Healthcare index gained 1.4% at 3675. The BSE Auto index tumbled nearly 2% to 5377.The market breadth was negative - out of 2,534 stocks traded, 1,272 declined, 1,188 advanced and the rest were unchanged today.INDEX MOVERS & SHAKERSRanbaxy surged 3% to Rs 424. Dr.Reddy's and ICICI Bank advanced nearly 2.5% each to Rs 733 and Rs 745, respectively. Hindalco added over 2% to Rs 188.Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel moved up over 1% each to Rs 378 and Rs 494, respectively. SBI and Larsen & Toubro were also up over 1% each to Rs 1,045 and Rs 1,304, respectively.Bajaj Auto plunged over 7% to Rs 2,899. Wipro and HDFC Bank dropped 3% each to Rs 557 and Rs 980, respectively.HDFC slipped over 2% to Rs 1,481. Grasim shed 1.6% to Rs 2,582.Tata Steel and Tata Motors declined 1.4% each to Rs 509 and Rs 888, respectively.Hero Honda, BHEL, Maruti and NTPC were down over 1% each to Rs 749, Rs 2,432, Rs 949 and Rs 127, respectively.VALUE & VOLUME TOPPERSGlenmark Pharma topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 406 crore followed by Hindustan Zinc (Rs 133 crore), Bajaj Auto (Rs 125 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 125 crore) and Reliance (Rs 116.25 crore).Glenmark Pharma also led the volume chart with trades of around 1.06 crore shares followed by SAIL (88 lakh), Silverline (66.35 lakh), Reliance Natural Resources (65.80 lakh) and Nandan Exim (53.55 lakh).
