The NSE Nifty is down 16 points at 5,180.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has surged 4.6% to Rs 672. ITC has rallied 3.7% to Rs 220.
Tata Motors has gained nearly 3% at Rs 658. Jaiprakash Associates and Satyam have advanced over 2% each to Rs 272 and Rs 489, respectively.
Wipro has moved up 1.5% to Rs 486. NTPC and TCS are up over 1% each at Rs 197 and Rs 922, respectively.

Hindalco has tumbled over 3% to Rs 192. HDFC has shed 2.4% at Rs 2,813.
DLF, ICICI Bank and Grasim have slipped around 2% each to Rs 710, Rs 883 and Rs 2,425, respectively.
ACC and ONGC have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 762 and Rs 1,034, respectively.
HDFC Bank and Ranbaxy are down 1% each at Rs 1,532 and Rs 480, respectively.
