Sensex down 311pts; REL, Cipla lead fall

 Cipla and Dr.Reddy's have slipped around 3.7% each to Rs 182 and Rs 630, respectively.

Tata Steel and SBI have declined 3% each to Rs 807 and Rs 1,810, respectively.

Hindalco and Larsen & Toubro are down 2.7% each to Rs 165 and Rs 3,005, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced 1.7% to Rs 1,424. Satyam has gained 1% at Rs 449.
