The Sensex is now down 43 points at 18,617.The NSE Nifty is up 10 points at 5,474.NTPC has surged 3.6% to Rs 222. Ranbaxy has moved up 2.3% to Rs 382.ONGC and HDFC have advanced 1.6% each to Rs 1,074 and Rs 3,065, respectively.Tata Steel, Hindalco and Cipla have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 815, Rs 181 and Rs 202, respectively.Larsen & Toubro and Bharti Airtel are up over 1% each at Rs 3,852 and Rs 933, respectively.TCS has plunged 2.8% to Rs 949. Mahindra & Mahindra has tumbled 2.5% to Rs 678.Tata Motors and Infosys have shed 2.3% each at Rs 752 and Rs 1,606, respectively.SBI, Bajaj Auto and Maruti have slipped over 2% each to Rs 2,223, Rs 2,407 and Rs 878, respectively.ICICI Bank and Bajaj Auto have declined around 2% each to Rs 1,185 and Rs 1,518, respectively.Wipro and Hindustan Unilever have shed 1.7% each at Rs 456 and Rs 208, respectively.Grasim has dropped 1.4% to Rs 2,988. Reliance Communications is down 1% at Rs 678.Out of 2,818 stocks traded so far, 1,826 have advanced, 939 have declined and 53 are unchanged.
