The Sensex is now down 52 points at 9791.Tata Motors has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 732. Tata Power has surged 2.7% to Rs 487.Grasim at Rs 1,530 and NTPC at Rs 117 have spurted 2% each.Maruti has gained 1.5% at Rs 739. SBI has advanced 1% to Rs 873.Reliance Energy and Cipla are the other notable gainers.HDFC has declined 3.2% to Rs 1,318. ONGC has shed nearly 2% to Rs 1,163.Infosys, Larsen & Toubro, HLL, BHEL, ICICI Bank, ITC, HDFC Bank and Bharti Tele are all down over 1% each.The market breadth is slightly negative. Out of 2,321 stocks traded so far, 1,206 have declined, 1,055 have advanced and 60 are unchanged.Punjab Alkalies has hit the 20% upper limit at Rs 51. Gujarat Alkalies, Prism Cements, EID Parry, National Peroxide, IndusInd Bank, Moser Baer, Hexware, Jet and CESC are the major gainers.Greaves Cotton has slumped over 13% to Rs 268. United Breweries, Unitech, Balmer Lawrie, Jindal Photo, GSK Consumers, Nicholas Piramal, MICO, Crompton Greaves and Jindal Steel are the major losers.
