The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 85 points at 16,100. The index has touched a high of 16,168, and a low of 16,065, and is now up 55 points at 16,071.The NSE Nifty is up 22 points at 4,852.Tata Steel has surged 4.5% to Rs 685. Jaiprakash Associates has rallied 2.7% to Rs 238.ACC has moved up 2.5% to Rs 840. Ranbaxy has advanced over 2% to Rs 445.Cipla and Grasim have gained 1.7% each at Rs 215 and Rs 2,746, respectively.NTPC and Maruti have added 1.5% each to Rs 200 and Rs 849, respectively.ONGC and HDFC Bank have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 1,050 and Rs 1,409, respectively.Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 240, Rs 822 and Rs 645, respectively.
