The Sensex commenced 11 points higher at 6,232, and extended its gains to touch an early high of 6,245. However, profit-taking in select old and new economy stocks dragged the index from higher levels to a low of 6,212. The Sensex is now down six points at 6,215, while Nifty is weaker by three points at 1,952.SBI is down a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 589. While HDFC Bank is down a rupee at Rs 499, ICICI Bank is trading with marginal gain at Rs 355.Wipro (down Rs 4 to Rs 665) and Satyam (down Rs 2 to Rs 367) have slipped in early trades. Infosys, however is up Rs 4 at Rs 1,970.Hero Honda has lost 4% (Rs 23) to Rs 535. While Bajaj is down Rs 2 at Rs 1,110. Tata Motors is down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 483.BHEL has commenced weak with a loss of 1.11% (Rs 8) at Rs 724.Reliance is up a notch at Rs 520, and ITC is up Rs 3 at Rs 1,245. HLL is flat at Rs 140.
