Sensex down 660pts; RCom, DLF slide

The Sensex is now down 660 points at 9,676.

Satyam has slumped over 82% to Rs 32 on hefty volumes of nearly 11 crore shares.

Jaiprakash Associates has plunged over 26% to Rs 74. Reliance Communications have tumbled 16.5% to Rs 208.

DLF and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped around 14.5% each to Rs 240 and Rs 553, respectively.

Reliance has shed 9.5% to Rs 1,237. ICICI Bank has slipped over 9% to Rs 475.

Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and HDFC Bank have declined around 8% each to Rs 778, Rs 171 and Rs 1,014, respectively.

Infosys, however, has gained 1% at Rs 1,180.

The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,497 stocks traded so far, 2,114 have declined, 330 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
