The Sensex continues to languish at the same lower levels, and is now down 84 points at 9999.Cipla has soared 8.7% to Rs 556. Reliance Energy, Ranbaxy and Maruti are only other notable gainers among the Sensex stocks.Tata Steel plunges 3.8% to Rs 393. Larsen & Toubro has dropped 3.5% to Rs 2,195.Wipro and Dr.Reddy's have slumped 2.5% each to Rs 507and Rs 1,187, respectively. HDFC Bank has declined 2.3% to Rs 755.ITC has shed 1.8% to Rs 158, and HLL is down 1.4% at Rs 195. Hindalco has dropped 1.6% to Rs 165.ACC, HDFC, Bharti, ICICI Bank and TCS are also down 1% each.Out of 2,433 stocks traded so far, 1,415 have declined, 961 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.Cipla tops the value chart with a turnover of Rs 76.71 crore followed by Reliance (Rs 57.52 crore), Reliance Capital (Rs 44.97 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 42.57 crore) and Tata Motors (Rs 39.14 crore).JCT leads the volume chart with trades of around 1.11 crore shares followed by Ashok Leyland (54.94 lakh), McLeod Russel (34.34 lakh), Nitin Spinners (32.17 lakh) and HFCL (29.29 lakh).
