The Sensex has slipped into the negative terrain and touched a low of 10,796 - down 240 points from the day's high of 11,036. The index is now down 88 points at 10,810.
Sun Pharma has slumped nearly 4% to Rs 1,172. Maruti Suzuki has slipped over 3% to Rs 763. Ranbaxy has shed 3% to Rs 176.
Sterlite and Grasim are down 2.5% each at Rs 373 and Rs 1,567, respectively.
ONGC, BHEL, DLF and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined 2% each at Rs 844, Rs 1,607, Rs 232 and Rs 429, respectively.
Hindalco, Bharti Airtel and NTPC are down over 1% each.
However, Wipro has increased 3% to Rs 282, and ACC is up 2% at Rs 638.
