The Sensex is now down 922 points at 16,656.The NSE Nifty is down 280 points at 4,944.HDFC, DLF and SBI have slumped around 8.5% each to Rs 2,562, Rs 715 and Rs 1,933, respectively.BHEL has plunged 7.6% to Rs 2,108. ICICI Bank has tumbled 6.3% to Rs 1,022.NTPC, Reliance and Hindalco have dropped 6% each to Rs 189, Rs 2,310 and Rs 191, respectively.Reliance Communications and Reliance Energy are down over 5% each at Rs 545 and Rs 1,486, respectively.Hindustan Unilever and Cipla have surged 2.8% each to Rs 234 and Rs 213, respectively.Ranbaxy and Maruti are up over 1% each at Rs 452 and Rs 878, respectively.Out of 2,740 stocks traded so far, 2,331 have declined, 372 have advanced and 37 are unchanged.
