The Sensex is now down 209 points at 14,147.
The NSE Nifty is down 60 points at 4,273.
Reliance Communications (RCom) has slumped 12.7% (Rs 63) to Rs 437.
DLF has plunged 4% to Rs 489. Maruti and Tata Power have tumbled 3% each to Rs 557 and Rs 1,126.
SBI and HDFC Bank have shed 2.5% each at Rs 1,379 and Rs 1,070, respectively.
Ranbaxy, HDFC and TCS have dropped over 2% each to Rs 489, Rs 2,230 and Rs 816, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Reliance Infrastructure and Sterlite have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 235, Rs 184, Rs 947 and Rs 620, respectively.
Bharti Airtel and Tata Motors have declined 1.7% each to Rs 785 and Rs 397, respectively.
Wipro, Satyam, ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and Reliance are down over 1% each.
Jaiprakash Associates has surged nearly 3% to Rs 161. Tata Steel has gained 1.7% at Rs 666.
