The Sensex is now down 112 points at 9,535.
Reliance Infrastructure has slumped 3.5% to Rs 543, and DLF has shed 2.5% at Rs 149.
HDFC Bank, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Steel have plunged over 2% each to Rs 926, Rs 683 and Rs 193, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 73. Reliance, Mahindra & Mahindra and TCS have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 1,378, Rs 279 and Rs 515, respectively.
SBI, Sun Pharma, Tata Power, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, ONGC and Bharti Airtel are down around 1.5% each.
NTPC, however, has advanced over 1% to Rs 182.
