The Sensex opened 90 points lower at 9,316. The index touched a high of 9,331, and then slipped deeper into red to a low of 92,73. The index is now down 89 points at 9,317. The Sensex is now down 124 points at 9,282.
Wipro has plunged nearly 6% to Rs 236. DLF has tumbled 4.5% to Rs 208.
BHEL, HDFC and TCS have dropped around 3% each to Rs 1,370, Rs 1,595 and Rs 520, respectively.
Relinace Infrastructure has shed 2.7% at Rs 502. NTPC, Maruti and ICICI Bank have declined around 2% each to Rs 174, Rs 571 and Rs 445, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates has gained 2.3% at Rs 0. Tata Motors and Reliance Communications have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 166 and Rs 189, respectively.
