The Sensex has slipped back to lower levels and is now down 420 points at 13,111.
Satyam and DLF have slumped over 6.5% each to Rs 344 and Rs 404, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and ICICI Bank have plunged over 6% each to Rs 138 and Rs 589, respectively.
Ranbaxy has shed 5.8% at Rs 395. Wipro has dropped 4.5% to Rs 384.
Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Sterlite and Reliance Communications have slipped around 4% each to Rs 479, Rs 735, Rs 447 and Rs 355, respectively.
TCS, Reliance Infrastructure and ACC have shed around 3.5% each at Rs 735, Rs 810 and Rs 574, respectively.
HDFC has declined nearly 3% to Rs 2,140. Larsen & Toubro, NTPC and Mahindra & Mahindra are down 2.7% each at Rs 2,471, Rs 166 and Rs 523, respectively.
The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,298 stocks traded so far, 1,914 have declined, 332 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
