The market is in a sell-off mode as correction has intensified, particularly, in old economy stocks. While the Sensex has tumbled 71 points at 6,533, the Nifty is down 14 points at 2,049.Reliance is still down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 559. SBI has dropped 1.89% (Rs 13) to Rs 654, while ICICI Bank is trading 1.33% lower (Rs 6) at Rs 413.Wipro has lost 2% (Rs 14) to Rs 667. While Satyam has dipped 1.61% (Rs 7) to Rs 416, Infosys is down Rs 8 at Rs 2,222.Gujarat Ambuja has tumbled nearly 4% (Rs 17) to Rs 408, and Grasim has shed 1.51% (Rs 19) to Rs 1,215.HPCL at Rs 314 (down Rs 7 or 2%), HDFC at Rs 713 (down Rs 13 or 1.76%), Reliance Energy at Rs 534 (down Rs 9 or 1.65%), Tisco at Rs 384 (down Rs 9 or 2.39%) and Tata Power at Rs 349 (down Rs 9 or 2.47%) have shed more ground on sharp selling pressure. Bharti has edged lower by 2.18% (Rs 5) to Rs 211.Tata Motors has slumped 3.88% (Rs 16) to Rs 408. While Maruti has declined 2.50% (Rs 10) to Rs 410, Hero Honda is down 1.14% (Rs 6) at Rs 532. Bajaj is unchanged with a steady gain of 1.25% (Rs 13) at Rs 1,077.ONGC (up Rs 12 or 1.39% to Rs 906), however, is holding on to its gains.
