The Sensex has ended (provisional) at 16,795, down 321 points. The NSE Nifty has settled (provisional) at 5,039, down 96 points.

The markets continue to exhibit weakness and is now at 16,766, down 350 points and the Nifty is at 5,031, down 103 points.
Among the Sensex-30 stocks, DLF and Hindalco Industries have slipped 6% each to Rs 263 and Rs 140, respectively on the BSE.
Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Sterlite Industries are down 4-5% each on the BSE.
Bharti Airtel, Jindal Steel, ICICI Bank and Reliance Infrastructure are some of the other major loser on the BSE, down over 3% each.
On the other hand Reliance Communication has advanced 4% to Rs 174.
The market breadth is negative, out of 2,793 shares traded, 1,934 have declined and 764 have advanced so far on the BSE.
The BSE midcap and the smallcap indices are down 1.5% each.
All the sectoral indices are in red, realty and metal indices are the major draggers, down 4% each.
