The Sensex has ended (provisional) at 13,764, down 407 points.

The Sensex has managed to pare some of its losses in the last hours. It is still trading in the negative terrain, owing to intense selling seen in the major sectors.
The Sensex is now at 13,885, down 284 points.
Among the sectoral indices, the Realty, Consumer Goods, Bankex, Power and Metal continue to pull the Sensex down.
Tata Steel and Sterlite has tumbled 5.5% each to Rs 374 and Rs 564, respectively.
ICICI Bank and DLF have slumped 4.5% each to Rs 662 and Rs 294, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro, ONGC and HDFC Bank have slipped over 3% each to Rs 1,447, Rs 1,017 and Rs 1,383, respectively.
BHEL, HDFC, SBI, Infosys and Hindustan Unilever have declined 1-3% each.
ACC has advanced 5.5% to Rs 803.
Tata Motors has gained over 3% to Rs 290.
Grasim, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki and Reliance have gained 1-3% each.
The market breadth is extremely negative -out of 2,510 shares, 1,849 have declined, only 599 have advanced.
