Sensex ends down 493pts at 14,284

Unabated selling in banking, realty and energy stocks saw the index drop to a low of 14,210 - down 566 points from the previous close. The Sensx finally ended (provisional) with a loss of 493  points at 14,284.

The NSE Nifty dropped 113 points at 4,321.
