After opening with a positive gap of 105 points at 19,708, the Sensex soon pared gains and exhibited lacklustre movement for most of the trading day.A fresh round of selling in the late noon trades saw the index slip to a low of 19,482 - down 226 points from the day's open. The Sensex finally ended with a loss of 76 points at 19,527.
