Sensex ends down 92pts

The Sensex has finally ended (provisional) at 15,459 - down 92 points.

The Sensex has further slipped into red and is now at 15,476, down 74 points.

The NSE Nifty is at 4,611, down 14 points.

The BSE Realty index is down 1.5% to 4,220.

Sterlite has shed over 3% to Rs 635. BHEL has declined 2.5% to Rs 2,210.

Maruti Suzuki, Jaiprakash Associates and Bharti Airtel have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 1,516, Rs 218 and Rs 414, respectively.

Grasim and Mahindra & Mahindra have decreased 1.5% each to Rs 2,602 and Rs 834, respectively.

ICICI Bank and NTPC are down over 1% each to Rs 736 and Rs 207, respectively.

Among the Nifty stocks, National Aluminium has plunged 3.5% to Rs 332.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,810 stocks, 1,562 have declined and 1,164 have advanced.
