Sensex ends near day's high

The Sensex today opened up 24 points at 10,842.Soon it slipped into the red and touched a low of 10,759.

Thereafter, the index rebounded into the positive  zone and gained strength as the day progressed. Agressive buying towards the end saw the index soar to a high of 11,203.

The Sensex finally ended (provisional) at11,198, up 380 points from the previous close.
